Artist • Jeanne Percy
Jeanne Percy works with acrylics, oils, watercolors, and pastels, on canvas, wood and paper. Favorite subject matter for her paintings are of the sea, but she also enjoys doing landscapes, portraits, florals, animals, female nudes, still life, and some abstracts.
Jeanne’s artwork has been shown in many exhibits and shows. She is a member of the Oregon Society of Artists, Village Gallery of Art, and Tigard Art Club. She has held positions in the Tigard Art Club, the Gladstone Art Guild, and served on the Board of the Village Gallery of Art. Several of her paintings are in collections of businesses and private citizens. By entering shows and exhibits, Jeanne has won awards and ribbons, which keep her inspired to continue creating her art for the enjoyment of others. Although Jeanne is basically self-taught, she has taken many classes and workshops from such teachers as Arthur Selander, Pat SanSoucie, E. John Robinson, Millie VanSickle, Chris Williams, Jan Browne and Edie Olson. Jeanne loves the outdoors, enjoying the brilliant colors of the changing seasons. She has spent many hours searching Oregon coast beaches for driftwood pieces.
Growing up in the Columbia River Gorge has been an inspiration to her, being lucky to see daily the tremendous views of Mt. Hood in Oregon and Mt. Adams in Washington. She continues to study, paint, take workshops and lessons, in order to create her beautiful paintings for the enjoyment of others. And so, her quest continues....
